SACRAMENTO, Calif., June 14, 2010 – Aerojet, a GenCorp (NYSE: GY) company, announced today that it has signed an agreement with NEC Corporation (TSE:6701) to jointly supply HAYABUSA-derived ion propulsion systems for the U.S. and Japanese aerospace markets.

With the second phase complete, the project is one of the largest single-site industrial installations in the U.S. and a key element in Aerojet's enterprise-wide sustainability initiative.

The shuttle lifted off from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida on May 14 and docked with the ISS on Sunday.
